Aurania Resources appoints vice president of IR

Carolyn Muir has been working with Aurania Resources since 2017 as a consultant

Carolyn Muir has been appointed as the vice president of investor relations of Aurania Resources, effective last week.

Muir has been working with Aurania Resources on a consulting basis since December 2017. During that time, she was responsible for the company’s investor and corporate communications efforts. Prior to joining Aurania Resources, Muir held investor relations roles at Heron Resources, Tri Origin Exploration and Titanium Corporation.

‘We are delighted that Carolyn has joined Aurania's management team in this capacity,’ Aurania chair and CEO Dr Keith Barron says in a statement. ‘Carolyn is tasked with further improving communication with our shareholders and the market in general, as we strive towards increasing shareholder value through gold and/or copper discoveries in Aurania's Lost Cities - Cutucu Project in southeastern Ecuador.’

The company announced this week that its board of directors has approved the sale of shares in an $8 mn fundraising effort, which will contribute toward its Lost Cities – Cutucu Project.
