Maria Sceppaguercio hired ahead of merger with Dr Pepper Snapple

Keurig Green Mountain, a privately held coffee and brewing products specialist, has appointed Maria Sceppaguercio as senior vice president of IR.

Keurig unveiled plans in January to merge with NYSE-listed soft drink major Dr Pepper Snapple, a spin-off from Cadbury Schweppes. The IR team at Dr Pepper Snapple is led by Heather Catelotti, who ‘will partner with [Sceppaguercio] as the merger is completed and is expected to transition to a senior finance role after close’, according to a company announcement.

‘Maria’s skills and leadership will be a major asset to Keurig as we operate as a public company upon the close of our merger with Dr Pepper Snapple Group,’ Keurig CFO Ozan Dokmecioglu says in a statement. ‘She has experience managing the transition from private to public company, and an impressive track record building strong relationships with key influencers in the investor community.’

Most recently, Sceppaguercio has been leading communications and IR at Pinnacle Foods, where she set up the IR function ahead of the firm’s 2013 initial public offering.

Sceppaguercio started her career at Nabisco, serving in various financial roles including vice president of IR from 1997 to 2000. In 2001 she joined Staples as senior vice president of IR and subsequently held similar roles at Revlon and Ann Taylor.
