New IRO at Gogo
In-flight internet company Gogo has announced a successor to Varvara Alva, its head of IR of 10 years.
Will Davis, currently senior vice president of marketing and chief of staff for Lumos Networks and Spirit Communications, joins the Nasdaq-listed firm as vice president of IR, reporting to CFO Barry Rowan.
The history graduate previously covered wireless and telecom equipment companies as a sell-side and buy-side analyst, and has also served as an IR director at Nokia.
Welcoming the new IRO in a company release, Gogo CEO Oakleigh Thorne says: ‘Will’s experience and expertise in the communications infrastructure industry and his deep relationships within the financial markets will be incredibly valuable in helping drive value for Gogo and its shareholders. We are excited to have him on the Gogo team.
‘In addition to welcoming Will, I also want to thank Varvara Alva, who previously served as vice president of investor relations and treasurer. As our head of IR and treasury functions, Varvara was instrumental in leading Gogo through our IPO in 2013, building relationships with institutional investors and Wall Street analysts, and managing Gogo’s capitalization work over the last decade.’
