KONE spin-off hires Eero Tuulos to lead IR team

Konecranes, a Finnish maker of cranes and lifting equipment, has named Eero Tuulos as its new vice president of IR, effective February 5.

Tuulos will succeed IRO of eight years Miikka Kinnunen who is moving to another financial role within the company.

A Helsinki School of Economics graduate, Tuulos joined Nokia in 2009 as an analyst in structured finance, later working in various roles in the treasury department. He has been serving as IR director at the Finnish consumer electronics major since 2015.

‘I would like to give my sincere thanks to Miikka, who has transformed Konecranes’ IR into the great shape it is in today,’ says CFO Teo Ottola in a release announcing the appointment. ‘At the same time, I am delighted to have Eero joining the team, and I am confident he will lead our investor relations with great enthusiasm and professionalism.’

Initially a division of lift specialist KONE, Konecranes was spun off in 1994 and listed three years later on the Helsinki Stock Exchange (now Nasdaq OMX Helsinki).
