São Carlos hires new IR manager

Carlos Mauro Galli Montenegro joins Brazilian property management and investment firm from credit card processor CSU CardSystem 

São Carlos, a Brazilian company investing in commercial real estate, has appointed Carlos Mauro Galli Montenegro as investor relations manager.

After graduating from Ibmec Business School in 2005 with a BA in business administration, Montenegro started his career at Reuters as a market researcher and was promoted a year later to the position of market specialist, covering data on the Brazilian market.

In 2008 he was hired by CSU CardSystem, a leading electronic payment processor in Latin America, to serve as investor relations manager, staying on for the next four years. In addition, he completed an executive MBA at the Getúlio Vargas Foundation between 2008 and 2010.

São Carlos was created in 1999 by a spin-off from Brazilian retail chain Lojas Americanas and was listed on BM&F Bovespa, the São Paulo stock exchange, in December 2006.

The company generated last year a revenue of R$268 mn ($131 mn) from its portfolio of 52 properties, comprising mainly class A office buildings and retail stores in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
