From CFO to IRO is new way to go for ambitious finance professionals

Time has hired a former CFO to lead its IR team.

Roger Clark, CFO for analytics technology firm Unified Enterprises since 2013, is joining the New York-headquartered media group as senior vice president of IR, as IRO Jaison Blair moves to a position ‘overseeing certain aspects of the company’s strategic transformation program,’ according to a company release.

Clark is a seasoned finance professional specializing in the media and digital sectors. He started his career as a certified public accountant for EY, subsequently spending 15 years at InterActiveCorp, nine of which as vice president of IR. Prior to joining Unified, he served as CFO for online advertising company Interclick where he was involved with the firm’s sale to Yahoo.

‘In addition to his proven investor relations and business strategy experience, Roger has an established reputation of trust and integrity in the financial community,’ comments Time CFO Sue D’Emic in the release. ‘We look forward to Roger’s leadership and contributions as we continue to execute on our growth strategy and communicate our profile with analysts and investors.’

A former sell-side analyst, Blair was hired by Time in 2013 to oversee the spin-off from Time Warner and subsequent NYSE listing. In his new role, he will continue to be responsible for Time’s India branch.
