Infosys wins big at inaugural IR Magazine Awards – India
Infosys was the center of attention at the IR Magazine Awards – India, where IRO Sandeep Mahindroo picked up the gongs for best investor relations officer and best investor relations team in the large-cap category.
The inaugural event, which took place today at the Sofitel Mumbai BKC, saw close to 100 members of the Indian IR community join a day-long conference followed by an awards ceremony.
At the forum, delegates were invited to listen to a macroeconomic and regulatory briefing on global trends and their impact on IR in India, a debate on how senior management’s view of the IR function is changing, and a session on crisis management and the role of IR in uncertain times.
This was followed by a Q&A moderated by Churchgate Partners’ Ashwin Bajaj, with Mayank Kumar from South Indian Bank, Frantz Moudoute from Matchpoint, Girish Patil from Birla Sun Life Asset Management and Nilesh Shah from Kotak Mahindra Asset Management discussing the expectations buy-siders have from their interactions with IROs.
The program included a session on ESG and IR reporting best practices to discuss how IROs can better integrate ESG information into their messaging.
Later in the afternoon, winners of the first ever IR Magazine Awards – India were announced. RPG won the award for best investor meetings, CEAT took home the prize for best investor relations team (small to mid-cap), and Minda Corporation’s Deepak Balwani was named as best investor relations officer (small to mid-cap).
