TILT Holdings brings in Gary Santo as head of capital markets and IR

New IR chief has more than 20 years’ experience in IR, communications and finance roles

TILT Holdings, the US-based provider of products and services to the cannabis industry, has appointed Gary Santo as senior vice president and head of capital markets and investor relations.

Santo has more than 20 years’ experience in IR, communications and finance roles. Most recently, he worked at Columbia Care, a medical cannabis company, as vice president of investor relations.

Other roles have included head of capital markets, IR and corporate communications at Lantheus Medical Imaging, senior director of treasury at IGT, and managing director and head of capital markets & IR at the First Marblehead Corporation.

He also worked at Cognition Financial for 11 years, where he served as vice president of capital markets and IR.

‘On behalf of the TILT family, I want to welcome Gary to the team,’ says Mark Scatterday, TILT’s CEO, in a statement. ‘His prior experience in the cannabis industry together with his affinity for public companies undergoing significant transformation make him the ideal candidate to lead our capital markets and investor relations efforts at this pivotal moment in TILT’s ongoing evolution.’

This month Santo became a holder of the Investor Relations Charter, the professional certification offered by US IR association NIRI.

TILT’s main business segment by revenues is Jupiter Research, which provides vaping technology. The company offers other services to the cannabis industry such as distribution support and a CRM system for dispensaries. It also owns cannabis cultivators in the US states of Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.
