WWE appoints Seth Zaslow as head of investor relations

Zaslow previously ran IR at Virgin Galactic and AMC Networks

WWE, the media and entertainment group, has named Seth Zaslow as its new senior vice president and head of investor relations.

Zaslow joins from Virgin Galactic, where he served as vice president and head of IR. Prior to that, he was senior vice president and head of IR at AMC Networks.

He takes over the IR reins from senior finance executive Michael Weitz, who will continue to oversee financial planning and analysis while also becoming the lead for treasury, capital markets and corporate development projects.

‘I’m excited to have Seth join our team,’ says Frank Riddick, WWE’s CFO, in a statement. ‘He has a wealth of investor relations, finance and media industry experience and will be integral in communicating our strategy and investment story to the investment community.’

Weitz is leaving IR after 15 years running investor communications for the entertainment business. Investors and analysts showed their appreciation for the IR function at WWE when they voted for the company to win best overall IR (small cap) at the IR Magazine Awards – US 2018.

‘Working closely with Michael for many years, I have great confidence in his abilities. He has tremendous knowledge of the company and I look forward to him taking on these expanded responsibilities,’ adds Riddick.

The announcement marks the latest change to WWE’s IR team following the departure in November 2021 of Michael Guido, who left to become head of investor relations at social media platform Reddit.

Reddit, which last year found itself at the center of ‘memestock’ mania, has confidentially filed a draft registration to go public in the US, without confirming details of the number of shares or price range.
