At Advanced Micro Devices, there is a dedicated team tasked with vigilantly observing what is being written by the public across a range of websites, with help from a number of software systems, says IR director Ruth Cotter. The team’s findings are considered by the entire organization and reported to the IR, public relations and marketing departments.

Cotter describes the process further as responses are prioritized and dealt with according to whether the issue is coming from a key audience or being heavily discussed throughout online communities.
