Healthcare company Danaher boasts five nominations for the upcoming IR Magazine Awards – US 2018, having won two awards in the last three years.
The full short list of nominees across all 29 categories has been officially released, with Danaher nominated for best overall investor relations (large cap), best investor relations officer (large cap), best IR by a senior management team (large cap), best corporate governance, and best in sector (healthcare).
Citigroup, Jack in the Box, JPMorgan Chase & Co, Salesforce.com and Wright Medical Group each have four nominations.
This year there are four nominees for the lifetime achievement award: CMS Energy’s Phil McAndrews, HC2 Holdings’ Andy Backman, Kansas City Southern’s William Galligan, and Ubiquiti Network’s Laura Kiernan. The winner will be announced at the awards ceremony.
The IR Magazine Awards – US 2018 will be hosted at Cipriani Wall Street on March 22, shortly after a selection of award nominees ring the closing bell at the NYSE in what has become an IR Magazine Awards tradition.
Twenty-four of the award categories were researched by an independent research company, and the winners of five further categories will be decided by a judging panel. The latter are:
- Lifetime achievement
- Rising star
- Best financial reporting
- Best investor meetings
- Best crisis management.
Nominations in these categories were submitted by or on behalf of nominees and vetted by IR Magazine’s editorial team. The judges for these awards are:
- Ben Ashwell, digital editor, IR Magazine
- Mickey Foster, vice president of investor relations, FedEx
- Barbara Gasper, senior adviser, Arbor Advisory Group
- Gary LaBranche, president and CEO, NIRI
- Smooch Repovich Reynolds, managing director of the investor relations and corporate communications practice, ZRG Partners.
