MEIRS and Investis team up to boost digital IR in the Middle East

Partnership announced as Investis launches new digital monitoring service

The Middle East Investor Relations Society (MEIRS) has named digital IR firm Investis as its website partner for 2015 and has also appointed the company as an adviser to the society.

‘Part of MEIRS’ strategy is to build a community of and for IR professionals across the region,’ says Fanny Modin, SHUAA Capital’s IRO and MEIRS board member, in a press release, adding that partnerships such as this offer MEIRS members access to industry experts across varied fields of IR.

The press release continues by noting that the IR website is now often the first point of call for investors, with ‘digital communications now a critical part of a listed company’s strategy.’

‘The Middle East is becoming increasingly integrated into global emerging markets and for listed entities operating in the region a strong digital presence and strategy is an important tool in attracting attention from the international and regional investor community,’ it states.

As well as developing the MEIRS website and microsite for its upcoming awards, the partnership will see Investis provide MEIRS members with ‘up-to-date industry best practice and trends, educational sessions and workshops.’ It will also provide advice and solutions on a range of digital IR areas from the website and IPO digital readiness to social media, multimedia, apps and webcasting.

The news comes as Investis launches its new digital monitoring service. Audience Insight is targeted at IR, corporate communications and marketing departments, and is being offered to existing clients as well as new clients as a stand-alone service, says Investis.

It provides social monitoring ‘from more than 200,000 sources including news outlets, blogs, forums and Twitter’, analysis of website and app performance, peer benchmarking and digital ‘intelligence’ – allowing companies to see which organizations are viewing their content.
