Adecco recruits new IR chief

Human resources giant brings in former Morgan Stanley executive

Global recruitment and human resources specialist Adecco has named David Hancock as its new head of investor relations.

Coming from Morgan Stanley, where he spent 11 years – most recently as executive director and head of the European business services team – Hancock now leads a three-strong IR team based in Zurich, Switzerland.

Having taken up the post at the start of June, Hancock is ‘responsible for communication to the financial markets, as well as for competitive analysis,’ according to a company statement. He reports to Dominik de Daniel, chief financial officer at Adecco Group, which operates 5,400 branches in more than 60 countries and territories around the world.

Hancock, who holds a master’s degree in philosophy from the University of Cambridge and is also a chartered financial analyst, replaces Karin Selfors-Thomann at the Switzerland-listed, Fortune Global 500 firm.

Selfors-Thomann, who had led the company’s IR team since 2008, will continue her career at Adecco, according to the statement. After joining the leadership team at Pontoon, Adecco’s consulting business focused on workforce solutions and recruitment outsourcing, she is now the new senior vice president and head of sales in North America for contingent workforce solutions at Pontoon, based in Jacksonville, Florida.
