Divisional finance director promoted to top IR job at Euronext-listed firm
French nuclear group AREVA has promoted Manuel Lachaux to vice president of financial communications and IR.
Lachaux is no stranger to AREVA’s IR division, having started his career in equity research at ETC Pollak and HSBC before joining the Paris-headquartered company as IR manager in 2007. He subsequently worked as financial controller and within the fuel business unit, where he had been serving as finance director for worldwide manufacturing activities since January 2013.
Marie Boidot de Scorbiac, AREVA’s head of IR of nearly four years, moved on to catering group Elior a year ago and the firm welcomed Anne-Sophie Jugean, a new IR manager joining from PwC, in May this year.
AREVA, which has a €2.4 bn ($2.7 bn) market cap, is majority state-owned: the public sector entity Commissariat à l’énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives holds a 61 percent stake and the French state a further 21 percent.
