Global specialty underwriter and provider of insurance and reinsurance solutions AXIS Capital has named Miranda Hunter as its new head of IR.
In her new role, Hunter reports to AXIS Capital CFO Peter Vogt and serves as a member of the company’s global finance leadership team. Her role involves leading engagement with the investor community and delivering the company’s vision and strategy.
Hunter began the new role on November 7 and is based in Bermuda. She brings 15 years of experience in the reinsurance, insurance and financial industries to AXIS Capital, having previously covered strategic development, IR and progression leadership roles at firms including Aelous Capital, Validus Holding, PwC and KPMG.
A company statement notes that Hunter holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Manitoba and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants in Bermuda and Manitoba.
‘Miranda brings distinctive experience in the reinsurance and financial industries, including strong relationships with the analyst community and expertise in leading investor relations functions,’ says Vogt in the statement. ‘As we continue our strategic evolution to focus our portfolio on specialty, Miranda will be critical in sharing the AXIS strategy and story with the investment community.’
