Berrios joins Laurel Hill

Industry veteran and corporate action expert Sam Berrios joins Laurel Hill Advisory Group

Corporate action specialist and veteran of the proxy solicitation business Sam Berrios, has joined Laurel Hill Advisory Group as senior vice president.

Berrios, who will head the proxy solicitation division at the group, brings more than 20 years of experience in corporate and mutual fund proxy solicitation, demutualization, investor relations, corporate actions and shareholder communications.

‘Sam brings to Laurel Hill a level of managerial, sales and operational experience that will ensure the continued growth and success of our company,’ says Dr William Catacosinos, Laurel Hill’s founder and chief executive officer. ‘He has a tremendous reputation as well as many contacts and relationships in our industry. We are very excited to have Sam join our team.’

He points out that, while Laurel Hill is well known as a proxy solicitor, ‘we are well placed to offer a range of other important services to our clients. We have made significant moves in e-delivery, notice and access and shareholder services.’

Prior to joining Laurel Hill Advisory Group, Berrios was deputy chief operating officer and executive vice president of Georgeson Shareholder Communications, where he was largely responsible for sales and operations. Berrios oversaw sales, product development, implementation, administration and management of the investor relations and shareholder servicing division. He was also responsible for winning and securing key corporate accounts with some of the largest corporations in the US.

In addition to Berrios, Laurel Hill is poised to announce several other new senior hires in the coming weeks.
