China Resources Beer will be drinking to its success today after winning five gongs at the IR Magazine Awards – Greater China 2017 in Hong Kong.
The company won best overall investor relations, best investor relations officer (large cap) for Vincent Tse, best IR by a senior management team, best in country: Hong Kong and best-in-sector: consumer staples.
Best investor relations officer (small to mid-cap) went to Venus Zhao of Far East Consortium International, best corporate governance was won by life insurance firm AIA Group and Leah Liu from sportswear firm Xtep International Holdings was named as 2017’s rising star.
Most progress in IR had joint winners: state-owned telecommunications company China Unicom (Hong Kong) and supply-chain specialists Kerry Logistics Network.
In the best-in-country awards, the China trophy went to China Telecom while Taiwan’s award was taken by financial services company Cathay Financial Holding.
In the self-nomination awards, the best annual report went to electrical and power company CLP Holdings, as did best ESG communications. Best crisis management was won by investment firm Fosun International, best investor event by Kerry Logistics Network and best IR for an IPO went to investment firm Zhou Hei Ya International Holdings.
The best IR during a corporate transaction award went to China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings, while the award for best IR website was shared between China Communications Services Corporation and Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China. Anta Sports Products took the best use of multimedia for IR award.
