D-BOX Technologies names former analyst as head of IR

Steve Li joins from software firm Tecsys

Immersive motion entertainment firm D-BOX has appointed Steve Li as its vice president of investor relations and corporate strategy.

The Montreal-headquartered firm specializes in technology that allows for ‘immersive entertainment experiences’ by adding motion to movies, video games or virtual reality, for example – essentially allowing your chair to move with the film or game for a ‘4D’ experience. It says in a statement that Li, a former analyst focused on the technology sector, brings ‘the perfect combination of education and strong analytical experience to his new role’.

Li joins the company from software firm Tecsys, where he served as director of corporate development. D-BOX notes that in his previous role the finance graduate oversaw the IR program, ‘built relationships with institutional brokers and investors and contributed to the company’s strategic planning and strategic initiatives.’

Prior to his role at Tecsys, Li spent nine years as a research analyst at Industrial Alliance Securities.

Welcoming Li to the company, Claude McMaster, D-BOX president and CEO, says in a statement that Li’s ‘prior experience in technology-driven companies combined with his impressive knowledge of the stock market will strengthen our relationships within the investment community.’

D-BOX’s 4D technology is used in around 100 Cineplex cinemas across Canada and more than 700 cinemas across the world from Australia to Norway, India to China.
