Nyquist will join the company from Electrolux, where he currently serves as senior vice president of investor relations and financial information, at some point in September. Once in his new position, the business administration and economics graduate will report to Helena Norrman, head of group function communications, according to Ericsson.
Prior to joining Electrolux in January 2006, Nyquist was head of communications and strategy at the Swedish firm Modo Paper before moving to a position as senior vice president of IR and communications at hygiene and packaging group SCA for five years.
In another new move, Ericsson has named Elisabeth Manzi as head of corporate communications, effective from August 1. Manzi will join the firm from Scandinavian Airlines (SAS), where she has held ‘various communications positions’ during her 13 years at the Oslo-listed airline. At Ericsson, she will report to Ola Rembe, head of external communications and group function communications.
Welcoming them both to the firm, Norrman says, ‘Ericsson has a strong communications team in place already and I really look forward to strengthening it even further with two new senior members of the team. Peter brings years of investor relations experience with a very strong track record and Elisabeth gained extensive media relations experience from her years at SAS.’
