ExxonMobil appoints new vice president of investor relations and corporate secretary

Stephen Littleton succeeds Neil Hansen, who becomes vice president of fuels for EMEA

ExxonMobil’s board of directors has elected Stephen Littleton as vice president of investor relations and corporate secretary, effective March 15.

Littleton is currently vice president of downstream business services and controller at the fossil fuel giant. He has nearly 30 years industry experience and, since joining ExxonMobil in 1992, has held several financial adviser and management roles, including upstream capital budget adviser, controller in Angola and investor relations manager. 

Littleton holds a business degree from the University of Missouri in St Louis and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

The current acting vice president of IR and corporate secretary at ExxonMobil, Neil Hansen, has been named vice president of fuels for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Hansen joined ExxonMobil in 2000 and has held a variety of positions in the organization, including audit division manager, senior financial adviser and investor relations adviser. In 2012 he was appointed manager of planning and financial markets in the treasurer’s department. He served as an affiliate finance manager between 2013 and 2016 and also held roles in Thailand as lead country manager and manager of business services. 

Hansen graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and earned an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and an MSc in accounting from the University of St Thomas.
