Ford has hired Lynn Tyson as executive director of investor relations.
Tyson started her new role on October 1, succeeding Ted Cannis, who previously served as executive director of investor relations and was recently named global director of electrification.
Tyson is now responsible for heading up all Ford’s investor relations initiatives, including representing the company to equity and fixed income investors and ratings agencies and providing strategic counsel to support value creation, strategic input and risk mitigation.
She most recently served as vice president of investor relations at Atento and has held senior IR positions at CHC Helicopters, PepsiCo, Yum! Brands, Dell and Aecom.
‘Lynn brings a wealth of investor relations and communications experience at companies that were facing profound change,’ says Bob Shanks, executive vice president and chief financial officer at Ford, in a company release. ‘We are confident she will further strengthen our crucial relationships with the investment community and we are excited to have her join our team.’
Tyson was a panelist at IR Magazine’s recent Women in IR event in New York. She is also a NIRI member who served on the national board between 2004 and 2008.
