FREYR names Jeff Spittel as vice president of investor relations

As FREYR prepares to list on the NYSE, new hire intended to enhance company visibility

FREYR, the Norway-based developer of clean, next-generation battery cell production capacity, has named Jeff Spittel as vice president of investor relations.

At the start of the year, FREYR announced its plans to become a publicly listed company through a business combination with Alussa Energy Acquisition.

The combined company will be named FREYR Battery and its ordinary shares and warrants are expected to start trading on the NYSE, subject to closing conditions being met.

Reporting to Steffen Føreid, FREYR’s chief financial officer, Spittel is based in Houston, Texas.

Most recently, Spittel served as senior managing director at FTI Consulting, a consulting firm headquartered in Washington DC. Prior to that, he was an oilfield services research analyst at Clarksons Platou Securities. Previously, he held roles at Madison Williams and Company, Pritchard Capital Partners and Natixis.

‘We are pleased to strengthen the FREYR team with a seasoned investor relations professional,’ says Tom Jensen, the CEO of FREYR, in a statement. ‘Jeff will lead our engagement with investors worldwide as FREYR pursues our ambition of becoming a leading sustainable battery cell supplier in Europe and potentially expanding to the US.’

In the statement, Spittel adds: ‘A shareholder-friendly investor relations function founded on transparent, clear communications with the global investment community will be central to FREYR’s long-term strategy. I am truly delighted to be joining FREYR at such an important and exciting time in the company’s evolution.’
