General Motors has appointed Ashish Kohli as the company’s new vice president of investor relations. He joins from Chipotle Mexican Grill where he served as global head of IR.
Kohli has extensive IR experience across a range of sectors. Previously, he worked as vice president of IR at Walgreens Boots Alliance, director of IR at Walgreens and vice president of corporate strategy at Vermillion.
Earlier in his career, he held equity analyst roles on the buy side and sell side.
‘Ashish’s breadth of experience and leadership skills will be an asset to conveying GM’s vision and strategy as well as building continued relationships with the investor community,’ says the carmaker in a statement.
Last month, GM reported record Ebit-adjusted net income of $14.3 bn for 2021. The company said it expects to generate a similar level of profits for 2022 while also investing heavily in growth areas like electric vehicles.
‘We can and will keep up our aggressive pace backed by strong results,’ said Mary Barra, chairman and CEO of GM, on the company’s Q4 earnings call.
