GVC Holdings, the FTSE 250-listed sports betting company, has appointed former IR Society chair David Lloyd-Seed as its new director of investor relations and external communications.
Lloyd-Seed, who will take up the position in March, joins from communications consultancy Powerscourt. He joined the agency, which is an adviser to GVC Holdings, in April 2019 as head of capital markets.
Previously, Lloyd-Seed held senior IR roles at Telefonica UK, Severn Trent and Dixons Retail, where he spent nearly 10 years. He was also chair of the UK’s IR Society between 2016 and 2019 and remains a board member.
Prior to his move into IR, Lloyd-Seed worked in corporate broking roles for around 18 years at BZW, Dresdner Kleinwort and Citi.
‘David brings a huge wealth of experience and expertise to the group from the City and as a strategic adviser and communicator,’ says Rob Wood, CFO of GVC Holdings, in a company statement. ‘His appointment adds further strength and depth to our management team and I am delighted to welcome him on board.’
The current acting head of IR at GVC Holdings, Nick Batram, will return to his role of group director of corporate strategy and development, the statement adds.
