The gala event took place on June 30 at the London Hilton
Over 400 IR professionals gathered in London on June 30 for the IR Magazine Europe Awards 2010. The big winner on the night was German chemical company BASF, which took home the prize for best IR by a large cap.
Special mention must also go to RWE’s Ingo Alpheus, who picked up the individual prize for best IRO at a large cap. It was a fitting tribute to the veteran IRO, who stepped down as head of IR this year after 10 years in the job. He moves to become the power company’s chairman of the management board.
The event took place at the London Hilton and was hosted by BBC television and radio presenter Jeremy Vine.
