Hiscox, the international insurance group listed in London, has named Yana O’Sullivan as its new head of investor relations.
Over the last 13 years, O’Sullivan has held senior IR positions at a range of banking and insurance companies. Her previous roles include head of IR and strategy director at Lombard International Assurance and director of IR at Friends Life UK.
O’Sullivan started her IR career at Standard Chartered Bank, which she joined at the initial stages of the global financial crisis, notes a company statement. Prior to joining the IR profession, she worked for around six years at Lepus, a management consultant focused on the financial services industry.
‘Yana brings significant experience in investor relations and the capital markets to Hiscox, having worked across a range of international markets, with extensive experience in financial services,’ comments Aki Hussain, Hiscox’s CFO, in the statement.
‘Her diverse background and perspective will be a great asset to the management team, helping us to tell the Hiscox story and engage effectively with our shareholders and the financial markets globally.’
