International Tower Hill Mines appoints new manager of investor relations

Seasoned mining IRO Michelle Stachnik to join the gold producer

International Tower Hill Mines (ITH), a Denver-based company which exploits gold mines in Alaska, has announced the appointment of Michelle Stachnik as manager of investor relations.

She will be replacing Shirley Zhou, who has been serving as vice president of corporate communications and investor relations for the company since 2010.

A business graduate from Colorado State University, Stachnik has eight years of experience in the mining industry.

She joins from Esperanza Resources, another emerging gold producer, where she was an investor relations manager for the past five years.

In addition to managing relationships with shareholders and investor communications, she will focus on community relations projects with the Alaska project team.

ITH controls 100 percent of interests in the Livengood Gold Project located in Interior Alaska, which is one of the foremost gold discoveries in several decades and is ranked the 20th-largest gold deposit in the world.

The company expects to produce an average of 562,000 ounces of gold at a cash cost of $696 per ounce over the expected life of the mine.
