IR Magazine’s educational events to count toward NIRI’s IRC credential

NIRI members with IRC credential to receive points for maintaining the qualification by attending IR Magazine’s educational events

IR Magazine and NIRI have reached an agreement that NIRI members who hold the Investor Relations Charter (IRC) credential will be eligible to receive points toward maintaining their qualification if they attend IR Magazine educational events.

NIRI launched its IRC accreditation in March 2016 and, so far, 133 people have earned the professional qualification. Each recipient of the IRC must earn 30 credits – called professional development units (PDUs) – over a three-year period to keep the credential.

Now NIRI members can accrue credits by attending IR Magazine events and webinars. Attending an IR Magazine Think Tank or IR Magazine Forum will entitle an individual to up to four credits, while joining a webinar will earn one credit.

‘IRC-credentialed professionals hail from around the world, and we’re very pleased they can earn PDUs by participating in IR Magazine’s professional development events,’ Gary LaBranche, NIRI’s president and CEO, tells IR Magazine. ‘IRC holders can also earn PDUs through NIRI programs at the national level, all NIRI chapters, other IR societies and appropriate educational institutions.’
