Best companies in Brazil for investor relations revealed in São Paulo
Vale picked up four awards at yesterday’s IR Magazine Brazil Awards 2011, but it was Itaú Unibanco that grabbed the grand prix for best overall investor relations by a large cap.
The winners were selected through a survey of more than 250 investors and analysts who cover the Brazilian market. They were announced at an awards event held last night at Buffet Tôrres in São Paulo.
Itaú Unibanco picks up the top prize at the awards in the large-cap category for the second year running.
Vale took home the awards for best IR website for a large cap, best conference call, best annual report and best IR by a CEO or CFO for former chief executive Roger Agnelli.
Agnelli was replaced at the mining giant in May, in a change reportedly pushed through by the Brazilian government, which retains a controlling interest in the company.
In the small and mid-cap category, Randon came out on top: the manufacturer of specialty vehicles and auto parts won the grand prix for best overall IR, as well as the prize for best IR website.
