Kornit Digital names Andrew Backman as global head of investor relations

Backman has held senior IR roles at several US-listed companies

Kornit Digital, the manufacturer of digital printing technology for the textile industry, has named Andrew Backman as global head of investor relations, effective June 30.

In the newly created role, Backman will be located at Kornit’s US base in New Jersey. The company is headquartered in Israel but listed on Nasdaq.

Most recently, Backman was founder and principal at InVisionIR, a consulting firm based in New York. Prior to that, he served as managing director for IR and PR at HC2 Holdings, the investment holding company.

He has also held senior IR roles at RCS Capital, iStar Financial and Corvis Corporation, which during his tenure changed its name to that of its main subsidiary, Broadwing Corporation.

‘Andy brings tremendous experience to Kornit with his extensive international track record,’ says Ronen Samuel, Kornit’s CEO, in a statement.

‘His strong background with innovative high-growth technology companies and ESG experience, combined with his demonstrated ability to implement strategic communications platforms, will help advance our long-term growth initiatives.’

In the statement, Backman adds: ‘I am delighted to join Kornit and look forward to playing a significant role in the long-term success of the company. Kornit is transforming a massive textile industry in need of accelerating its digital transformation and the mass adoption of sustainable, on-demand production.’
