New IRO previously held finance role in the company’s aftermarket and trailers division
Meritor, the NSYE-listed supplier of drive train and braking parts for commercial vehicles, has handed Christy Daehnert the job of director of investor relations.
In her new role, Daehnert reports to Mary Lehmann, Meritor’s senior vice president of treasury, corporate development, communications and IR.
‘We’re excited for Christy to take on this important financial role for the company,’ says Lehmann in a statement on Meritor’s website. ‘Her background and industry experience will serve us well as we continue to provide our investors with pertinent information.’
Daehnert’s previous role at Meritor was director of finance in the company’s aftermarket and trailers division.
Prior to joining Meritor, she held roles in the finance department at DaimlerChrysler. Before that, she spent seven years with Coopers & Lybrand, which is now part of PwC.
Daehnert takes over from Brett Penzkofer, who has taken on the role of senior director of finance in Meritor’s American truck unit.
