Buy-side veteran takes over from former IR Magazine rising star nominee
Moscow Exchange has named Anton Terentiev as its new head of investor relations following the departure of Sergey Klinkov, who has left to take up a role at Russia’s central bank.
Terentiev joins IR from the buy side. Most recently, he spent nearly five years at Gazprombank’s asset-management arm. Prior to that, he was director of research at Verno Capital and deputy portfolio manager at Kazimir Partners.
‘Throughout his career, Anton has worked with investors to provide professional expertise on the growth prospects of companies in sectors including finance, real estate, utilities, consumer goods and retail,’ comments the exchange in a press statement.
‘He has also regularly worked with institutional investors and the Russian investment and brokerage community on capital raising and capital management issues.’
A CFA charterholder, Terentiev holds a degree in applied mathematics from the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute.
He succeeds Klinkov, who ran IR at Moscow Exchange for four years but has now switched roles to join the Central Bank of the Russian Federation as director of the department of international co-operation.
Nominated for the rising star award at the IR Magazine Awards – Europe 2016, Klinkov has also worked as head of IR at HMS Group, the Russian manufacturing company, and Vozrozhdenie Bank.
