Nepa brings in Michael Wallin as head of IR

Move follows announcement of new CEO in January

Nepa, the Sweden-based consumer research company, has appointed Michael Wallin to the newly created role of head of investor relations.

Alongside his new duties, Wallin will continue to work at BTS, the professional services firm, on a consultancy basis, and as a consultant for communications firm Hallvarsson & Halvarsson.

Wallin has 15 years of experience under his belt as either an in-house IRO or IR consultant. He has worked at BTS as head of IR and Hallvarsson & Halvarsson as a director.

He has also held IR advisory roles at Six Year Plan, the business development agency, and Citigate Stockholm. Earlier in his career, he worked for five years as a business journalist for Swedish news agency Nyhetsbyrån Direkt.

Wallin joins Nepa at a time of significant change for the business. In January the company promoted CFO P-O Westerlund to the position of CEO. Westerlund himself has investor relations experience, having held the role of head of M&A and IR at Nordic company A-Com for eight years.

Alongside news of Wallin’s new role, Nepa has also announced the promotion of Ann-Christine Fick to CFO.

‘Our relationship with investors is important and these appointments serve to maintain and further improve our communication with the capital markets. Building trust and improving our transparency will be important tasks going forward,’ says Westerlund in a company statement.
