Steffen Kindler, who joined the company in 1998, takes over after passing away of Roddy Child-Villiers
Nestlé, one of the world’s largest food and nutrition producers, has announced that Steffen Kindler is to take over as head of its investor relations team, effective immediately.
Kindler has been at the company since 1998, when he joined as an internal auditor. Since then, he has worked his way through a number of Nestlé’s business divisions and locations throughout the world.
Most notably, he held positions as the head of finance for Nestlé Waters’ European department, the head of finance for Beverages Nestlé USA and as a senior advisor in the group’s M&A division.
‘Steffen brings to our investor relations team an ideal combination of deep Nestlé knowledge, operational business experience and an ability to communicate effectively,’ says Wan Ling Martello, the firm’s CEO, in a statement. ‘He is well positioned to be an excellent liaison between Nestlé and the financial community. I am delighted that he is leading our IR team.’
Kindler will take over the position from Roddy Child-Villiers, the long-standing head of IR at Nestlé who passed away in June 2014 after a long battle with cancer. Under his leadership, the firm’s IR program won a number of awards at the IR Magazine Awards – Europe, including several trophies for best IR in Switzerland and best use of technology.
Ian Metcalfe, a member of the Nestlé IR team, has moved to join the company’s health science team as part of the personnel reshuffle. Rather than food, the division offers various products to combat illness, disease or age-related issues, made possible with the help of a large scientific research team.
‘I wish to thank Ian for the significant contributions he has made to the group over the last four years and wish him well in this exciting next step of his career at Nestlé,’ adds Martello. ‘He will be a great asset in our development of Nestlé Health Science.’
