New CEO at Investis Inc

Don Scales joins digital communications firm’s US branch from iCrossing

Investis, the digital communications firm focused on corporate and investor relations, has appointed Don Scales as CEO of Investis Inc, its US arm, based in New York. Scales succeeds Rupert Spiegelberg, who is moving back to the UK.

A Harvard Business School graduate, Scales was previously CEO of iCrossing, a digital marketing and search engine optimization agency, where he grew the business to 900 employees and increased ‘revenue substantially as the service offering was broadened beyond its traditional search capabilities’ during his seven-year mandate, according to a press release announcing his appointment.

‘We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Don to Investis,’ comments global CEO Helen James in the release. ‘He has a fantastic record of success and I am really looking forward to working closely with him and continuing our growth in the US. I would also like to thank Rupert for his immense contribution to the success of establishing Investis in the US, and wish him all success for his future endeavors.’

Spiegelberg joined Investis in 2000 as head of Europe after an early career as a journalist for Bloomberg. The INSEAD MBA alumnus, who was appointed CEO in 2013, established the US business with branches in New York, San Francisco and Palm Beach, attracting ‘more than 200 clients including GE, Restaurant Brands International, ANSYS and Intercontinental Exchange’.
