Rio de Janeiro-headquartered energy firm promotes Ricardo Dourado
HRT Participações em Petróleo, the Brazilian oil and gas firm, has announced the appointment of a new CFO following the resignation of its CFO and IRO of four years Carlos Adeodato.
Ricardo Dourado, who has been serving as HRT’s planning and business development executive manager since 2011, moves up to the position of CFO, which involves responsibility for investor relations.
A graduate of Universidade Salvador and an MBA alumnus from Brazilian business school Ibmec, Dourado started his career as an auditor at Ernst & Young before joining power company Neoenergia, where he held various financial controlling and planning roles over an 11-year period.
HRT is an independent exploration and production company with interests in the Solimões Basin in north west Brazil and in Namibia. The company, which is listed on the São Paulo stock exchange as well as TSX Venture, posted a net loss of R$99.1 mn ($46.4 mn) for the first quarter of 2013, down from a net profit of R$53.2 mn for the same period last year.
