New head of IR for Digital Realty Trust

Seasoned Wall Street analyst joins investor relations team

Digital Realty Trust, a global data center solutions provider, has named John Stewart as the firm’s new senior vice president of investor relations.

Stewart brings 15 years’ experience in the financial services industry, having followed the real estate industrial trust (REIT) sector since 2000 and covered Digital Realty Trust since its IPO in 2004.

Since starting his career as a credit analyst with the corporate finance group at Bank of America, he has served as a member of ‘top-ranked teams’ at Citigroup Investment Research and Merrill Lynch and lead REIT analyst at Credit Suisse, and most recently led the industrial and technology REIT sector coverage at independent real estate research firm Green Street Advisors, according to a press statement.

‘John is an industry veteran with a deep knowledge of the shareholder landscape and extensive experience in the investment community, which will add great value to our investor relations program,’ says Michael Foust, Digital Realty’s CEO.

William Stein, CFO and chief investment officer – to whom Stewart will report – adds: ‘[Stewart’s] standing in the investment community along with his extensive knowledge of the company and data center industry makes him the ideal addition to our team.’

Pamela Garibaldi, who has served as head of IR at Digital Realty Trust since 2006, will now take on the role of vice president of global marketing.
