New head of IR at HomeServe

Buy-side IRO joins UK emergency repairs firm

Miriam McKay has been appointed as director of group communications and investor relations at HomeServe, a West Midlands, UK-based small cap specializing in home emergency services.

McKay previously served as head of IR at two buy-side listed companies. From 2008 to 2012 she led investor relations at alternative investment management firm Man Group. Most recently, she was at Henderson Global Investors, where she was involved in managing the messaging around the asset manager’s merger with Janus Capital Management.

Prior to this, she spent 20 years at Reuters in various roles including product director for dealing, director of strategy and head of IR during Reuters’ merger with Thomson.

McKay graduated in modern languages from the University of Durham.

HomeServe, which has been listed on the London Stock Exchange since 2007, posted £633 mn ($805 mn) in revenue for 2016, with group profit up 9 percent year on year to £93 mn.
