New hire lights up OSRAM’s IR department

Former Deutsche Telekom and Kuka IRO joins Siemens spin-off

German lighting manufacturer OSRAM Licht has hired Andreas Spitzauer to serve as its new head of investor relations, reporting to CFO Ingo Bank.

Spitzauer joins from Kuka, an Augsburg-based robotics firm, where he was working in a similar position for the past nine years. Prior to this, the business graduate of the University of Regensburg was an IR manager at Deutsche Telekom, which he joined in 2001 as a trainee.

The IR head position at OSRAM has been vacant since the promotion – and subsequent sabbatical – of IRO of five years Boris Tramm in September 2016, with head of corporate communications Jan-Peter Schwartz filling in temporarily.

Initially part of Siemens, OSRAM develops light modules, LED lamps and light-management systems. The Munich-headquartered firm was spun off and listed in Frankfurt in 2013.
