‘This is an industry I followed closely during my time as a media and internet equity analyst on Wall Street, and I’m looking forward to telling the Netflix story to the investment community,’ Wang tells Digital TV Europe. ‘With the massive change reshaping the video business, it’s great to be part of the team at the forefront of this amazing evolution.’

Prior to Credit Suisse, Wang spent two years at Bear Stearns and four years at Morgan Stanley, serving as managing director and analyst covering the entertainment, cable TV and direct broadcast satellite sectors. He recently joined the advisory board of the Made in NY Media Center by IFP, a Brooklyn-based working space and exhibition venue ‘at the intersection of storytelling, media and technology’. He graduated from the John Hopkins University with a bachelor’s degree in international trade.

Netflix had a first unsuccessful attempt at going public in 2000 and eventually listed on NASDAQ in 2002, raising $82.5 mn. The Los Gatos, California-headquartered firm has since seen its market cap rise to $25 bn, posting $5.5 bn in revenues and $266 mn in profit for the full year 2014.
