Former sell-sider and tech sector specialist takes on IR at S&P 500 cybersecurity firm
Jonathan Doros has joined cyber intelligence company Symantec as vice president of investor relations, reporting to CFO Thomas Seifert.
Doros was for the last six months in a similar role at the Texas-based automotive and property software firm Solera Holdings. Prior to this, he spent almost four years at NASDAQ-listed CA Technologies, serving in financial planning and analysis and IR.
A Fairfax University graduate and a chartered financial analyst, he started his career at RogersCasey and Standard & Poor's before moving into equity research, covering the industrials sector at Jeffreys and subsequently software firms at UBS and Raymond James.
‘Jonathan’s strong financial and operational experience will be a critical asset as we continue to communicate our long-term value proposition to our shareholder and analyst communities,’ says Seifert in a company release welcoming the new IRO. ‘We look forward to adding him to our team as we continue to identify opportunities to increase shareholder value at Symantec.’
The California-headquartered, NYSE-listed company split into two entities this year, with Symantec remaining security-focused and information management business Veritas Technologies recently sold to private equity group Carlyle.
