Vancouver-headquartered Outcrop Silver & Gold has appointed Kathy Li as its new director of investor relations.
Li’s IR experience is natural resources-focused, though she also boasts a varied background covering 15 years in the profession.
‘We are delighted to welcome Kathy to the Outcrop team,’ says Joseph Hebert, CEO and director of Outcrop, in a statement welcoming her to the company.
‘Kathy brings a wealth of experience in investor relations, deep knowledge of capital markets and a strong network of relationships across the financial community. She will work closely with the executive leadership team and lead Outcrop’s IR efforts to communicate our key milestones to our stakeholders as we deliver on our strategy to advance the exploration of five silver and gold projects with world-class discovery potential in Colombia.’
Li joins Outcrop from Silvercorp Metals, where she led the firm’s IR efforts, as well as capital market and corporate communications, ‘and played a significant role in marketing various mining projects in Canada, South America and China,’ according to the Outcrop statement.
Li also previously served as vice president of IR at Christensen IR, a consulting firm in New York, Hong Kong and Beijing. Her role involved managing more than 30 publicly traded Asian companies, including pre-IPO firms.
Li holds a master’s degree in public relations from the University of Houston and a diploma in accounting from the University of British Columbia.
