People moves: AIXTRON names Christian Ludwig as new vice president of IR

Other IR changes take place at MSA Safety and Adcore

AIXTRON, the German supplier to the semiconductor industry, has appointed Christian Ludwig as its new vice president of IR. He joins from DEUTZ, the engine manufacturer, where he was senior vice president of IR, communications and marketing.

Prior to DEUTZ, Ludwig worked as an equity research analyst for 15 years, first at Berenberg Bank and then at Bankhaus Lampe. Earlier in his career, he served as a US purchasing manager at Philips Electronics.

‘With Christian Ludwig, we have won a proven capital markets expert with many years of experience in the semiconductor industry,’ says Christian Danninger, CFO of AIXTRON, in a statement. ‘We are very pleased to have him join our team to continue our successful capital markets communication and to set new impulses.’

In other IR changes, NYSE-listed MSA Safety has named Larry De Maria as its executive director of IR. In his new role, De Maria reports to CFO Lee McChesney and sits on the company’s global finance leadership team.

De Maria arrives at MSA Safety with more than two decades of experience in equity research. He joins from William Blair & Company, where he was group head within the firm’s global industrial infrastructure coverage area. Before that, he held roles at Sterne Agee and Prudential.

‘As we continue to successfully execute our strategy to deliver strong and resilient shareholder value, I am pleased to welcome Larry to MSA Safety,’ says McChesney in a statement. ‘As a highly respected analyst who has followed MSA Safety for more than five years, Larry brings to this position an extensive understanding of our business and the investor landscape.’

MSA Safety’s existing executive director of corporate development and IR, Chris Hepler, now heads the company’s corporate development function, notes the statement.

TSX-listed Adcore, the digital advertising and marketing business, has named Nick Campbell as IR manager. Most recently, he served as director of IR and corporate development at mining company Cerrado Gold.

‘We are thrilled to announce that [Nick] has joined the Adcore team and is leading [our] efforts in investor relations and communication services,’ says Omri Brill, Adcore’s CEO, in a statement.

‘As we continue to rapidly grow, we require a hands-on in-house approach to facilitate effective shareholder engagement and communication. We recognize the importance of effective communication with our shareholders and the investment community.’
