Cloudflare, an IT service management company, has appointed Phil Winslow as its vice president of investor relations, strategic finance and treasury.
Winslow is now responsible for ensuring the company’s long-term financial strategy is optimized for growth and profitability. He also manages the group’s capital structure and treasury processes and oversees IR.
He reports to Thomas Seifert, CFO, and will work with the leadership team to develop and implement strategies. ‘As an influential software analyst, [Thomas] has worked alongside institutional investors to develop investment strategies for software companies and with issuers to execute successful capital markets transactions,’ Seifert says.
Winslow served as a managing director at Credit Suisse and was the global head of the software team in the securities research department. He led a team of equity research professionals that spanned the US and Europe.
He has more than two decades of capital markets experience and brings with him a background in financial modeling and data-driven operational analysis, as well as knowledge of the technology industry.
Matthew Prince, CEO and co-founder of Cloudflare, says the $14.5 bn IT company developed a relationship with Winslow over several years before the search for a new vice president of IR began.
Commenting on his new position, Winslow says he is proud to join the team and contribute to the company’s continued growth: ‘I look forward to working with the leadership team and the entire Cloudflare community to drive long-term value for all of our customers, shareholders and other stakeholders.’
