Former NIRI board member helped set up two new chapters for the association
PSS World Medical has announced the appointment of Jenny Kobin as vice president of investor relations, effective March 1.
Kobin will carry out a number of roles in her new position, including leading investor relations, public relations and corporate communications, while reporting to PSS’ CFO David Bronson.
Kobin’s 20 years of experience working with the investment community was a major factor in her appointment.
‘Her breadth of investor relations, capital markets and healthcare industry expertise will enable us to further strengthen relationships with the investment community and build appreciation for our mission, strategic plans and performance,’ says Bronson in a prepared statement.
‘Jenny’s experience and value-added interactions led to her top five ranking in Institutional Investor’s 2011 sell-side list of the best IR professionals in the biotech industry.’
Previous roles
Kobin was most recently vice president of IR and corporate communications for the North Carolina-based biopharmaceutical company Inspire Pharmaceuticals.
Prior to this, she served as director of investor relations and corporate communications at TriPath Imaging, director of investor relations at SciQuest and CCB Financial Corp, and manager of investor communications at Bank of America, her first IR job.
During her career, she has also co-founded and served as president of the NIRI Triangle chapter of North Carolina, and was co-founder, treasurer and board director of the NIRI Charlotte chapter.
Kobin is now a regular speaker at national IR conferences and a published author on communications issues and best practices.
