T-Mobile took home the prize for best use of social media at the IR Magazine Awards - US 2015. In this video on the red carpet, Nils Paellmann, head of IR, chalks the win up to CEO John Legere, his 1.2 mn Twitter followers, and the professed 10 hours a day he spends on social media.
Looking past Legere’s tweets, T-Mobile also takes an un-carrier approach to earnings calls. It fields questions via text message and Twitter, and for its most recent call for Q4 2014 it did a ‘behind-the-scenes livestream’ video.
