SmartRent, a technology provider for the real estate industry, has appointed Evelyn León Infurna as its new senior vice president of investor relations.
Most recently, Infurna was managing director at ICR, the strategic communications firm. Previously she has worked on both the buy side and sell side, with a focus on real estate companies.
This month, Infurna was appointed to the board of Getty Realty as an independent director and member of the nominating and corporate governance committee. She also serves as an advisory board member to real estate investment manager Accesso Partners.
‘Evelyn is joining SmartRent at a crucial point in the company’s history, a time when we are experiencing significant growth and moving toward international expansion,’ says Lucas Haldeman, SmartRent’s CEO and founder, in a statement.
‘As a well-seasoned real estate executive, Evelyn brings decades of experience in financial services and has shown the ability to lead companies through such pivotal times. She will play a core role in our journey to going public.’
In April this year SmartRent announced plans to go public via a merger with a special purpose acquisition company, a deal that values the company at $2.2 bn.
In the statement, Infurna adds: ‘I am thrilled to join SmartRent and am honored to share my expertise with a company that is disrupting the prop-tech industry. I believe in SmartRent’s mission of making smart home technology accessible for everyone and look forward to growing with this company as it continues to scale.’
