Storytel, one of the world’s largest audiobook and e-book streaming services for subscribers with more than 700,000 titles available, has named Andreas Lindblom as its new head of financial planning and analysis and IR.
As well as his new role in financial control, Lindblom will develop the company’s investor relations function. ‘I am really excited to join Storytel’s amazing global journey in the growing audio market,’ he says in a statement announcing his appointment. ‘The market potential is massive and, being a global industry leader in the audiobook segment, Storytel is in pole position. I am eager to use my experience to help Storytel continue on its path, while ensuring external stakeholders understand the strategy, enabling continued success.’
Lindblom joins the Swedish firm, headquartered in Stockholm, from Hoist Finance, where he served as head of IR. He brings expertise across alternative investments, business control and investor relations.
‘Andreas’ combined experience will be a perfect fit for challenging how Storytel works in order to further drive growth and value creation, combined with translating this into our financial story on our trajectory to profitable growth,’ adds Sofie Zettergren, the company’s CFO.
Storytel, which trades on Nasdaq First North Growth markets, has more than 1.6 mn subscribers and operates in 25 countries.
