Providence, Rhode Island-based United Natural Foods (UNFI) has hired Faten Freiha as director of investor relations and corporate strategy.
In her new role, which she started on March 26, Freiha is responsible for all aspects of IR and corporate strategy, working with the executive management team. She reports directly to CFO Mike Zechmeister. Her predecessor, Halie O'Shea, left UNFI last November to become a senior research analyst at The Haverford Trust Company.
According to UNFI, Freiha has more than 10 years of IR and finance experience, having spent the last four years with storage and information management services company Iron Mountain as director of IR.
