Illinois-headquartered chemical firm Univar Solutions has named Heather Kos as its new vice president of investor relations.
Kos, who was recently named on Crain’s list of Notable Women in Manufacturing, is a 15-year IR veteran. She takes over from David Lim who has been named vice president of corporate development, where he will ‘focus on the company’s M&A program, portfolio management and successful integration of the recent Nexeo Solutions acquisition,’ according to a statement announcing Kos’ appointment.
‘Heather brings a wealth of experience and financial acumen that will enable us to broaden our reach and expand our service to the investment community,’ says Carl Lukach, executive vice president and chief financial officer at Univar Solutions, in the statement. ‘I’m excited to welcome [her] to our Univar Solutions team and look forward to our increased communication with investors.’
As well as being a certified chartered accountant, Kos is a DePaul University graduate who also serves on the Certification Scheme Committee for NIRI and is chair of the IR council of the Manufacturers Alliance for Productivity and Innovation.
She joins Univar Solutions from Ingredion, where she served as vice president of IR and corporate communications.
